Scoring

Weight- All turkeys must be weighed to the nearest ounce, on a certified scale.

Beard and Spur length- Must be measured accurate with a device to the nearest one sixteenth of an inch. All measurements are to be recorded to the nearest sixteenth of an inch.

Beard- Each beard the turkey has is to be measured from the center point of the protrusion from the skin to the end of the longest bristle.

Spurs- Spurs are measured from the outside center, from the point at which the spur protrudes from the scaled leg skin to the tip of the spur.

Total Score- The formula for your score is: Weight (lbs. and oz.) plus 10 times spur length (right and left) plus 2 times beard length.
